What types of counselling do you offer?
I offer in-person, virtual counselling sessions and nature based sessions. You can choose to meet in person at my Nanaimo office, book online for Zoom-based or phone sessions, which allow you to connect from the comfort of your own home, or book for a nautre based session, where we will walk at neck point in Nanaimo.

 

How do I book a session?
You can easily book your session through the booking page. Just choose a time that works for you, and you'll receive a confirmation email with details. If booking a Zoom session, you'll also receive a confidential link for your session.

Can I bring my baby with me to sessions?

While counselling is most effective when you have space on your own, there are times when that is not feasible, so YES your baby is welcome to come to our sessions. Depending on the age of your babe, it might be easier to choose a walk rather than in office.

 

What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly request that any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments be made at least 48 hours in advance. This allows me to offer the appointment to another client in need of support.

 

What is the cost of a session?
Each session, whether in person or via Zoom, is $155. If you have extended health benefits, you may be able to get coverage for my services as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

 

Can I use my health benefits to cover counselling?
Yes! As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), many extended health plans will cover the cost of counselling sessions. Please check with your provider to ensure you're eligible for reimbursement.

Do you offer direct billing?

No, you will need to pay your invoice directly and then submit your receipt to be reimbursed by your health benefits. 

 

Do you offer specialized counselling services?
Yes! I focus on areas such as emotional regulation, relationship support, motherhood, and personal growth. My approach is collaborative, helping you explore barriers to mental and emotional well-being while guiding you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

How long is a counselling session?
Each session is 55 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on which length you prefer. During this time, we’ll work together on strategies to help you manage symptoms, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges.

How do I prepare for my first session?
Just bring yourself! There’s no need to prepare anything in particular. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss your goals for therapy.

What should I expect from counselling?
Counselling is a collaborative process where we work together to identify and address underlying issues that may be affecting your well-being. Over time, you will develop tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and create more meaningful relationships.

Are there any group workshops or additional offerings?
Yes! I periodically offer workshops, yoga series, and retreats that focus on emotional regulation and mindfulness.
